MSAD 11 School-Based Health Center
What We Are Asking Parents to Do
We are asking parents, taxpayers, and advocates to email the newly elected MSAD 11 school board members ahead of their Thursday, October 1, 2026 vote to urge them to terminate the School-Based Health Center (SBHC) contract.
The goal is to give these board members the backing and confidence they need to cancel the agreement, reject activist pressure, and restore complete parental authority over their children’s healthcare.
What a School-Based Health Center (SBHC) Can Do
Once operational inside a school, an SBHC can act as a parallel medical system that bypasses parental oversight by offering or referring for:
- Reproductive Healthcare & Birth Control: Administering contraceptives, emergency contraception, or family planning counseling without parent notification.
- Transgender-Affirming Referrals: Providing gender counseling or referring minors out to external clinics for puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, or transition services.
- Mental Health & SSRI Counseling: Conducting behavioral health assessments, ongoing therapy, or psychotropic drug management under “confidential student care” provisions.
- Vaccinations & Medical Treatments: Administering vaccines (including COVID-19 and flu shots) or minor medical procedures directly on school grounds.
- Outsourcing & Third-Party Referrals: Connecting students to outside special interest groups, social services, and external medical providers without explicit, real-time consent from parents.
